    I love that they list all contributors. I’ve got maybe 3 or 4 patches in the project and was surprised to be listed.

    It’s nothing new though, the weekly blog posts listed new contributors.

      I’m equally excited that

      1. Rust is 1.0 and I can start relying on it more in projects I write
      2. People will finally stop posting the same “Is it 1.0 yet?!?” comment on reddit

        To be clear, it’s 1.0 alpha. There’s still some breakage to come. Six weeks till beta, then another six to twelve before you can really rely on it.

          The article covers this in detail, but basically, the language itself is feature complete, but certain sections of the standard library will still be changing. Six weeks from now, in beta, everything will be in what we expect the final form to be for 1.0.
