When submitting a link, the Submit and Preview buttons aren’t visible without scrolling. However just below the textarea and to the right is a nicely highlighted link saying “Submit to Lobsters”. It even has a grey outline so it sort of looks like a button. It’s the bookmarklet that you can drag to your boomark bar, but it looks just like something to click on when submitting a link. I don’t submit many links so I always forget the layout and click on this bookmarklet every single time. The net result is the submission form gets populated with the URL of the submission form and I’m back where I started.

Please move that bookmarklet link below the submit and preview buttons.

Note the existence of the github project for lobsters. (IMO) that’s a better place for bug reports than the meta tag, which is more for discussing the community.

      I second this.

NOTE: FWIW, I use that bookmarklet all the time, but I don’t remember how I found it originally. And when I’m on a new PC, I can never find it (to drag to my bookmark bar).

The story submission guidelines (which include the bookmarklet) auto-hide after you’ve submitted enough stories, since you probably know the rules.

Is there a way to unhide? On a tablet now, cant find link.

Not sure how that helps. But here is the bookmarklet for anyone else looking:

              javascript:window.location="https://lobste.rs/stories/new?url="+encodeURIComponent(document.location)+"&title="+encodeURIComponent(document.title)

Sorry, I read your comment out of context and thought you were asking about viewing your hidden stories.
