I didn’t know about USSD, that’s neat! I wonder if that’s what they use here in [redacted]; when I opened a bank account, they simply asked for my phone number, and then pushed dialogs to my phone, asking me to accept terms, set a PIN, things like that. I did not have to install anything, and I’ve never seen that UI on my phone before.
