Imba’s groundbreaking memoized DOM is an order of magnitude faster than virtual DOM libraries
This is an odd statement when the landing page causes very noticeable frame rate drops on my phone (running the latest Firefox mobile).
Also funny that I apparently commented on the indentation-based syntax 5 years ago here on lobsters. These days I’m willing to be a little bit more charitable, but I still cannot imagine using indentation-based JSX.
They repeat that you can “build things fast”, but that’s most tools. What about refactoring a year or 2 down the road when I need new features? What about on-boarding someone who has no clue what Imba is? Essentially, it’s really easy to start projects. It’s hard to deploy a “finished” project and even harder to maintain them for years.
