Are there any plans for adding local-storage options ? The tools look nice, but for my home-deployments I’ll not start using s3 (especially if I don’t want to use the cloud). The only thing I could think of would be using ceph, but even that is overkill. And yeah this may totally be out of scope.

You could use MinIO locally https://min.io/docs/minio/linux/operations/install-deploy-manage/deploy-minio-single-node-single-drive.html . It is pretty light weight and very easy to get started with.
