    This post is directly showcasing one of the primary targets of Go generics: operations on a “slice of something” being able to do direct copies and comparisons. The PlanetScale article was showcasing something not one of the primary targets.

      My takeaway from the Planetscale article is that using methods or worse using interface methods with generics is slower because of the added indirection and problems inlining, but even the Planetscale articles notes that operations on byteseq or data types, which don’t use methods, are fast.
