I wrote almost all of my college papers using a word processor that I typed in from an article in Compute magazine. I wish I could remember its name! At the time the Mac was brand-new and would often crash and show a bomb when it ran low on memory which only took about 10 pages of text (no problem for a liberal arts major). The C64 combined with that word processor probably handled thousands of pages for my friends and me, and never lost a word of anyone’s paper.

Bet it was SpeedScript. That was a great tool and they ported it to practically all the platforms COMPUTE! supported at the time.
