    At $20, there’s little reason to use Arduino unless you need something in the Arduino ecosystem that the RPi doesn’t have/doesn’t support. Even then, it’s hard to think of what that would be. It amazes me that the Arduino Uno has stayed so expensive and so power-hungry for so long. I know there are newer Arduino boards that specialize, but good luck finding shields for them. The BeagleBone is even less power hungry than the RPi, but good luck onthe ecosystem.

    Honestly, the best thing about the RPi over the BeagleBone, though, is the analog video output. HDMI is wonderful, but it’s impossible to find a reasonably priced HDMI screen to go along with it. You can get a $10 3.5" backup camera with an RCA input, or you can get a 3.5" BeagleBone LCD cape for 10x that much. No thanks.
