The root cause of those feelings may be an unhealthy persecution complex, may not be. That still would not invalidate what they felt or the experience they are attempting to convey.
I, more than most, prefer folks not to resort to feelings when attempting to describe some sort of problem… but whether I like it or not, feelings are the chosen language with which the majority of people attempt to relate.
