This is a great intro to the mindset and the programming style.
What resources would you recommend for a more advanced view of Erlang and its relative strengths over other platforms?
If you’re looking for a more analytical comparison between Erlang and other comparable “Actor-like” platforms (e.g. Akka, Quasar, Pulsar, etc), then I’m not familiar with any good resources with an in-depth comparison as such.
However, strictly from the Erlang side of the fence, Erlang and OTP in Action is a pretty good book that jumps right into the action (i.e. not at the “Erlang for Dummies” level of material) and has high-level comparisons with other systems/languages sprinkled throughout (Chapter 1 is free, and contains some examples of the said comparisons).
