We chatted with Brian Fox about all things Maven. We hear the history of Maven Central, war stories, how Minecraft DDoSed the service, and discuss planning for the future of Maven and Java 9.
This is an excellent episode. I really wish all the folks who constantly fling poo at Java would listen to this and at least appreciate all the thought and care that went into creating it.
In particular I find Brian talking about how the node.js community could have avoided some of its more notable oopses if they’d simply learned from what went before.
