    An interesting read, but I do not think it’s looking at the issues of the Web with a developer hat.

    While some of these issues are serious geopolitical threats for most Nations around the world (810 out of 930 DNS roots services are under US control), others are technical issues that should be addressed at software level.

    I think it’s time for W3C to release a new version of XHTML, that addresses all this mess once for all: let’s remove JavaScript (and WebAssembly) from the browsers, let’s add easy to remove tags like ADVERTISING, let’s extend form controls, add more HyperText’s controls for video and audio but without the need of JavaScript, and so on..

    Basically, the only way to fix the Web is to make it an HyperText medium again.
