    Maybe it’s just me, but I find that with easy problems, I don’t need a flow state, and hard problems can only be solved at cost of total concentration to detriment of everything else. If your family is not understanding, get something heavy and barricade the door. ;)

    I remember reading somewhere that Andrew Wiles only published papers from a cache of pre-written material while he’s been working on the Fermat theorem proof. I don’t work on anything of that scale, but I guess I can relate.
