I found Vegeta while looking for a low friction way to load test microservices running in AWS ECS (Elastic Container Service).

Using a jump box, I can pull down Vegeta, grab one of our security tokens (so I can call a service) and get testing in a minute or two.

The reason I keep using it is not just because it’s easy to get onto a jump box, though. It’s because the interface is excellent and the output is really easy to understand.

I love that when you give it values in parameters you can specify units - ‘s’ for seconds, ‘MB’ for megabytes etc. No need to convert to what it wants - and no ambiguity about what you’re telling it.
