Vacation! Starting gather the plans what to read, to fix and to talk about.

I’m doing some paperwork and admin for a programmers union I’m on the committee for. Not my forte at all, but a necessary part of any volunteer run organisation is that everyone pitches in when there is a need.

Then, later on I’m going to get back to working on a project that I got nerd sniped into recently: a better design for a general ABI, linker, loader, and executable/library image format.

The binfmt_misc stuff on Linux makes this relatively easy to play around with in a real environment, which is nice.

Writing yet another Git forge

I’ve been playing with creating a weather dashboard for my allotment garden using a pair of LoRaWAN sensors and my first web-app. I’m using Flask, Prisma, React, and Chart.JS to receive the data from The Things Stack webook, store it in a database, and render some nice plots (soon!).

Also cleaning and reorganizing my office as I start a new contract on Tuesday and will be back to full-time remote. Currently the office has my electronics work space, computer desk, seedling grow area, wine fermenting and aging corner, and what appears to be every random item in the house scattered about.
