      This is a great introduction to how the main pieces fit together to provide exception handling under Windows, but (for lack of a better word) it’s purely about the mechanics – what, where, when, how… but no why.

      I only bring this up because there is a lot to the why, from how (and why) this compares to the approach taken by other operating systems to what this approach enables Windows/its kernel/applications running on it to do that wouldn’t otherwise be (directly) possible.
