I thought this article was pretty interesting. I thought his point system was nonsensical, but the analysis of how the different languages worked or didn’t work the way he wanted them to was interesting. I think choosing a language is an interesting problem, that doesn’t have a clear solution. Different languages are good at different things, but ultimately, whether I choose language A or language B for a project, a lot of it comes down to whether I like working in the language. I don’t know if there is a good fast way of finding out whether I like working in a language or not.
