        Is the implication that the integer overflow situation in Rust has changed since then? If so, pointers to more up-to-date info would be cool.

        A related question that keeps popping up nowadays is when a C program has an overflow in:

        malloc(items * size)
        

        would Rust catch that? The answer is it doesn’t matter, because Rust uses things like Vec and String, not unchecked writes over bare malloced buffers.
