I find the rhetoric of the early-retirement sites especially ironic given that Toyota has recently decided to shutdown its no-hassle no-haggling Scion small car brand, because, apparently, Americans are no longer interested in smaller and more efficient cars, and are instead back to the SUVs.

I wonder whether the recent crude oil decline and the corresponding decrease in the gas prices have anything to do with such trend reversals!
