Docker was and still remains a nightmare. We still run into hundreds of kernel panics and single-digit Docker lockups a day.

    Is it really that bad??

I assume it depends your scale, and how much do you care about your containers. At my work we run hundreds on few dozens hosts and we have few problems related to Docker itself. When we do it’s even more rare that it’s causing the host to crash (happens something like every 2months I’d say). We’re not having huge issues with it since the scheduler does its job pretty well, but still looking forward to have more stable container runtimes (we didn’t bother to use rkt tbh).
