    I just don’t know how npm does it. It seems like every time there’s a “screw-up,” it has to be the last. And then there’s something like this. Time and time again, javascript developers just forgive and forget in the case of npm, which surprises the hell out of me, since the javascript community is touted as the community which is impossible to keep up with in terms of its ecosystem (because they don’t tolerate even the slightest personal annoyance in their APIs without a flat out rewrite / new project). Why hasn’t npm been forked/competed with? Is dependency hosting that thankless a job?
