It’s interesting to see the OpenPOWER foundation strike back against Intel’s domination of the high-end server market. “Summit”, a US Department of Energy supercomputer planned for 2018 completion may use POWER9 chips and take the mantle of most powerful computer in the world.

I’m very excited to see more open architectures take hold, and am rooting for OpenPOWER as well as RISC-V.
