My favorite part about Lobsters is the openness. The code base is open source, the moderation team is accountable through the moderation log and the invite process is transparent. In this vein of openness I this we should have a page that shows daily, weekly, monthly and yearly graphs for certain metrics: unique page views of the frontpage, submitted stories and submitted comments. Thoughts?

Seconded. Very curious to see how traffic has changed in the past few weeks, as evidenced by the steady stream of new posts (for good or for bad).

We’ll have to wait for @jcs, but it doesn’t even look like lobsters is tracking views.

I am on the backend. Total site requests about doubled when HN went down: http://i.imgur.com/goO2STz.png

It’s been nice seeing more conversation around stories.

Fantastic, those are the exact graphs I was hoping to see. Any chance we can get access to the graphs in some form?

I’m reluctant to add them to the lobsters code because it will also require bringing in a graphing library and all that stuff. I’ll see about adding some kind of public graphing abilities to Countinual so I can put a link in the about page.
