Palantir has been favoring TypeScript over CoffeeScript for a while as well. When I did a little work on Plottable using Visual Studio Code, that was far and away the best JS development experience I’ve ever had. VSC has rockin' TS editing, code completion, inline docs, and so on.
TSLint was also a huge help for getting started when I didn’t really know TS.
