Is there any reason you can’t maintain a static blog on your personal website for this sort of content? As it happens, Medium seems to only want to show me a preview of this article unless I create an account and sign in and possibly pay them money.
I had applied for my post to become part of their “internal distribution” (hence the paywall) but that’s been a joke so far (zero response from Medium / zero distribution) so I just disabled the distribution setting; should be free to read now with no sign-up / sign-in necessary.
I wouldn’t be able to keep up with my own static blog. (I used to back in the day.) For most stuff I just need an off-the-shelf quick and easy solution that has its own security / possible network benefits / etc.
