I’ve been following the stingray story for a while. I think it’s ridiculous that police can buy something under NDA which prevents disclosure of its operation to the public.
That said, as with any ACLU article, I was waiting to see how long until they jumped the shark. Didn’t take long. “police were lurking outside people’s windows and sending powerful electronic signals into their private homes” oh, noes, not the powerful electronic signals!
