i like the general thrust of this presentation but color me skeptical:
We first need language model agents that are designed to act as central orchestrators for home-cooked software projects.
These agents can guide barefoot developers through the process of writing technical specifications and help them work out what kinds of tools they might need for a piece of software.
this is a core premise of engineering as a subject-matter-agnostic discipline, and people seem eager to suggest that “agentic frameworks” are going to extend language models with these sorts of capabilities.
Nice talk, an interesting positive way in which AI might be useful?
This conference looked interesting but was extremely small and sold out quickly, I hope videos of all the talks will be posted at some point.
