    I remember Waterfox being sold as “just firefox compiled for 64bits windows” when it started. Now there are claims of “putting performance at the forefront” with “optimised builds”. I wish these performance optimizations were detailed, I’m skeptical that a lone developper (or even a bunch, since IIRC Waterfox has been bought by a company that does web analytics) can do much better than Mozilla. Looking at the dev’s github, I can see one build-system patch ensuring SSE4.2 is enabled, but that on its own hardly deserves the marketing we’re seeing on the main page IMO.
