I’m reasonably sure we don’t have a Section 6 in the manual in illumos, and we inherited the manual pages from OpenSolaris towards the end of the Sun era. Not sure where this came from, really!
The linked manpage seems to be from a Solaris 8 documentation CD, so predates the OpenSolaris era. Digging around in the archived documentation CDs on Oracle’s website, Solaris 9 still had a section 6, but had removed most of the programs from it, including radio(6). And then Solaris 10 / OpenSolaris axed the section entirely.
I would be very wary of using anything created by Oracle at this point.
Considering the man page was last revised in 1992, I don’t think you’ll have to worry about that.
