I used God-mode for a while (between 2016 and 2019 according to git) and really liked it. It’s very clever, integrates neatly with most of Emacs and feels natural if you’re used to the Emacs way of doing things.
Ultimately, I reverted back to the Evil mode from whence I came. I hoped to see some comment in my git history about that, but no, just a commit saying “Switching to evil”
