    This is… Well, still not really intuitive, but at least obvious to anyone playing Kerbal Space Program. Lining up a good orbital rendezvous between a spacecraft and… Well, anything (another spacecraft, a station, a distant planet…) is very difficult to do by hand. It takes a lot of tinkering to start to get a grasp on how the forces you exert actually effect your orbit.
