What’s the argument here? All I see is a lot of “but ecosystem” – why can' the ecosystem use something functional, like promises, instead of imperative callbacks?
If Promises were a “missed opportunity” I’d wonder how much more opportunity node could have handled while it grew faster than any platform I’ve ever seen.
I guess that PHP wasn’t a missed opportunity, either?
