I really dig the new icon set!

The possibility for Emacs to be extended using shared libraries is pretty exciting. For example this issue potentially has a much nicer resolution—write a fast fuzzy matching library in C and just load it as a shared library rather than having to choose between the poor performance of Elisp and the pain of doing the whole external process dance.

I wonder what the packaging story for shared library extensions will end up looking like, I suspect it will take a while to work out.

Just installed it. First reaction is that they changed the scratch buffer text!

Haven’t gotten a chance to play with xwidgets yet.

They did? I’m using it right now and I didn’t notice. What did they change?

Mine is only two lines now instead of 3..

;; This buffer is for text that is not saved, and for Lisp evaluation.
;; To create a file, visit it with <open> and enter text in its buffer.

Been happily using it for a bit; I’m glad it’s “official” now :)
