I always hated they called that thing Slack. I’m not sure if it’s a SubGenius reference or not, but slack goes back to the 1970s, and influenced quite a bit of early Internet and Usenet culture, with various newsgroups and listservs, and more recently the naming of Slackware, etc.
Cello (recently featured here) + libslack seems to be a great shortcut to producing higher quality C software. I’ve been using libslack for a long time (8 or 9 years, I think), but didn’t know about Cello until seeing it here on lobste.rs.
