I found that odd as well. Does anyone know of any commercial users of MenuetOS? What is their angle with the commercially licensed 64-bit version? Are they targeting some specific market? Can’t be digital signage or anything like that since that wouldn’t require 64-bit.
I’d be too concerned about lack of adoption & participation.
Wouldn’t a desire to engage with commercial users be better served by a different stance on restrictiveness, that would impact commercial users, like say the AGPL or GPLv3, with an option to custom license for a fee?
Does anyone have experience or stories with models like that?
