Reading about development on Ruby interpreters is surprisingly pleasant. They all seem to be so cheerful over there, bordering on optimistic. ❤️
It is impressive that they managed a whole language switch in just 9 person months. I have a sneaky suspicion, that this is reinforcing, that doing porting (where you keep the design from the original program and just change the language) is much faster and more reliable than full blown rewrites (where you their t away the old design and start from a blank slate).
