NB: It is from 2010. Also, I like my arch where the 1st, 2dns and 4th are symlinks to the 3rd.
Very interesting read! There should really be an initiative to unify that! /bin and /sbin ought to be enough for all our needs.
Archlinux (and I’m sure other distros too) have made some efforts to eliminate /bin and /usr/sbin. They are just symlinks to /usr/bin there.
Oh and /sbin doesn’t exist (at least it doesn’t here).
