One of the things I’ve always liked about NetBSD is that once it’s running, it’s precisely the same OS on all hardware (excepting availability of certain languages like rust and go that aren’t available on certain architectures). Configuring tethering via USB on a 5G hotspot is exactly the same on my VAXstation 4000/90 as it is on an amd64 system. It’s refreshing that nobody treats less popular architectures as second class.

This can be much easier than where only certain Linux distros are available for certain boards, so if you want to use a ROCK64 board you have laying around, you might be stuck with what they offer.
