    From Damian’s addendum: “Perl 6 almost always attempts to redistribute its syntactic complexity towards declarations…and away from calls.” In my experience, any moderately useful Haskell application does this all by itself.

      I’m really happy that Perl 6, after a rough start, has some traction going. Seeing Conway involved is a hopeful sign.

      Perl 5 is my language of choice, and for this old dog, trying to rewire my head around Perl 6 is probably too hard - the impedance mismatch is very high. But I hope that Perl 6 will be the future of the “Perl ethos”, and that future hackers will find it as useful as I’ve found Perl 5.
