I only discovered this project a little while back. Seems like a pretty normal DNS server implementation but the value really lies in the list(s) of adware domains. You can build on the list or you can simply rely on what comes with the software, but I’ve found that it’s useful for also blocking domains used by telemetry (spyware) services. A Reddit thread from a few weeks back had some information about the Windows Nvidia drivers (as part of GeForce Experience) phoning home to hostnames like events.gfe.nvidia.com and IP addresses like 8.36.112.54, 8.36.113.137, 8.36.113.113, 8.36.120.11, 8.36.120.249
