Wow, that is some passive agressive writing. Great that they are making progress, though. I hope it does not take away development work from vim. Maybe some neovim patches can be merged upstream?
Not sure what you think is passive aggressive about that newsletter. I just reread it looking for passive aggressive wording and it just seems to be a rundown of what’s changed since the last newsletter. Perhaps you are taking issue with the fact that there exists a newsletter in the first place? I think that neovim has a lot of people that are interested/excited in the development progress but aren’t following the repo to see the day to day commits so this helps to reach out to the people that have donated but don’t have the time to watch that.
