The best case is that it picks up a prefix or suffix (like -lang with programming languages, e.g. dlang, golang, rustlang, etc.—presumably my poorly-named hypothetical would get the prestigiously confusing “langlang”), or possibly it dies and goes away and never confuses anyone.
“PubSubHubbub” should work as a search term for the foreseeable future (although that’s probably an argument for not changing the name), or a qualifier like “pubsub rss”. I doubt it will die anytime soon unless Wordpress decides to switch to something else.
