this blog gives good instructions on setting the thing up, and I don’t mean to detract from that.. but what about making a script or package or something that sets up automatically?
The author does note that it comes as a package, but that this setup was optimized for a multi-user environment. So in a single-user environment you probably don’t see as much of a difference. But I do like the idea of using PHP7 for both speed and security. I hope to try this out in the next few weeks (both ways) to see how much of a difference it makes.
