A big problem I found is that keyboard controls – discrete inputs – make it really hard to have something that feels responsive while allowing the sorts of fine-grained adjustments you want to stabilize a plane. So you’re either slow and hulking, or unrealistically zippy. I never found a great middle ground, but it was a fun project to tinker with!
Good to see other people procrastinating writing prose by writing code. Brings me back to the days of lunar lander. e.g. http://moonlander.seb.ly/ . I hope he will release it as a webapp.
