A very interesting article. I’m surprised by the amount of Go’s concepts being available it it’s predecessors.
Thanks! I agree that it’s surprising how much overlap there is.
Especially going as far back as newsqueak and seeing effectively the same CSP concepts and simplified parallelism for running functions.
In the future I’m now planning on undertaking a second part highlighting elements from languages/systems that influenced Go, but aren’t necessarily common syntactic elements.
