Raspchat is a local chat solution for your local gossip. It’s written to be resource efficient and lightweight; infact so lightweight it can run on Raspberry Pi (see the demo). It’s under heavy development and based on principle of plug-ability. Here is current technology stack:

• Raspberry Pi 1 Model B, running on 0.9 A power source.
• Golang for backend server.
• Socket.io for all socket needs.
• Vue.js for writing clean system code.
• Ngrok for tunnelling demo to the world.

It’s a perfect solution for your LAN chats (offices, groups etc.) and can handle upto hundreds of users (have not tested it in thousands).
