Does anyone know why Qatar airways blocks lobste.rs on their inflight WiFi: https://postimg.cc/8JJS4R4V? The inflight WiFi service is provided by oryxcomms.com and the screenshot seems to imply that Lobste.rs is in violation of their acceptable use policy!
maybe it’s less to do with the content, but more to do with the top level domain?
that’s a good going theory. one of the reasons the rust project doesn’t use any more rs domains for infrastructure is because some corporate networks just ban .rs domains.
This is the first I’ve heard of it and I can’t guess why.
Write Qatar Airways and ask them, and let us know what they say if they respond.
