What does “Linux-like” mean? Do they mean X11-like? It seems like they might actually mean “Xfce-like”?
The question is, why not WSL?
It doesn’t handle graphical applications very well yet. WSL is currently best used for stuff like Node.js or Ruby development.
Interesting, looks rather smooth. But what I really want to know is if I can get rid of xfce and use only dwm?
It looks like the WM is rootless and letting Windows handle window management. All you’d really need to do is install dwm on your Cygwin setup and run a fullscreen X server instead.
