I use Edge, mainly because of performance/battery reasons, but also because the web needs diversity. The last thing we need is Google having essentially a total monopoly on the web engines and just being able to dictate web standards as they wish. (…don’t they do this already?)
Firefox is a much better option than edge when it comes to web diversity. It’s open source, and standards complaint unlike Edge. Also, while I do think that it’s good to have alternatives to Chrome, at least Chromium is completely open source.
No surprise here. Chrome owns a very substantial portion of the web developer and user mind share. More of the web Just Works (TM) with Chrome, and Firefox / Safari running second place.
Here’s hoping all the great work Mozilla is doing will catapult Firefox into the lead - I want to see an OSS browser win :)
I am using Windows 10 full time, never ever used Edge. I don’t think Microsoft ever recovered from the IE curse even with browser rebranding.
Even with the rebranding it’s still lagging behind on features and support.
