    It looks like the same switch can also compile async iterators and generators down to ES5, glancing at release notes.

    I was kind of curious about using them in a Web context to stream a big file, since the FileReader API is async. Might be I don’t need a true iterator, just something to invoke a callback over and over, and while writing this just noticed you can start a worker and run FileReaderSync in it, which might be even easier.

    In general, though, given the Web platform’s preference for new API’s being async (even, for instance, the Web Crypto API) there’re bound to be some places you’ll be glad if the language can let you use them a little more naturally.
